SECIA Annual Meeting on Wed, November 13, 6:30pm at Van Cleve
As part of SECIA’s by-laws, a town hall style meeting is required for certain organizational decisions. This year, SE Como community members and business owners will gather on Wednesday November 13th to elect board members and update the community on important neighborhood issues. This year’s agenda:
SECIA board members are elected for up to three year terms during which they: Attend SECIA board meetings the firstTuesday of every month, Attend at least one other SECIA committee meeting each month, Join task forces to oversee projects they are passionate about and Voice their opinions on issues facing the neighborhood.
Any Como resident or business owner is welcome to run for the board. Serving on the board of a 501c3 nonprofit is a great civic engagement experience, expands your network and allows you to make a difference in your community. Contact the SECIA office (676-1731) for more information. Nominations for potential board members may also be made from the floor during the meeting. Interested parties should expect to attend the meeting and make a 2 minute statement.
